Supporting Teachers: Enhancing Inclusive Education
The National Council for Special Education (NCSE) provides support to teachers across Ireland to help them create inclusive learning environments where every student can thrive.
We use the term TPL which stands for teacher professional learning.
We hope to:
• Support collaboration between school leaders and teachers
• Ground TPL in research and best practice
• Facilitate TPL that is flexible with multiple support pathways
• Co-design TPL with teachers and school
leaders
• Help teachers and school leaders develop a solution-focused perspective

Resources for Teachers
Teachers can access resources including practical tools, guidance, and information designed to support inclusive education in classrooms.
Current resources include therapy resources for speech and language therapy and occupational therapy.
You can also find information on NCSE Relate. This is a comprehensive resource to support school staff to understand and reframe behaviour.
