What is NCSE Relate ?
Our comprehensive Relate resource is designed for school staff to better understand and to reframe student behaviour. It places relationships at the heart of all support.
Relate takes a regulation-first approach in understanding and supporting students. Regulation means recognising the factors that influence our:
– Energy level
– Emotions
– Attention
– Behaviour
Relate has eight principles for understanding behaviour , and six elements to help you and your school respond to the needs of every students. We explain each below.
The elements of support include:
– Practical strategies
– Opportunities for reflective practice.
The resources section includes new tools, resources and videos to support you.
