What we do?
Lead and coordinate local NCSE teams to support children with special educational needs.
– Ensure timely delivery of services to schools, parents, and students.
– Oversee the work of SENOs, Advisors and Visiting Teachers.
– Support the planning and setup of special classes and special schools.
– Work to ensure children have access to appropriate specialist placements.
– Collaborate with schools and other agencies like the HSE, TUSLA, and the Department of Education.
– Manage the rollout of Special Needs Assistant (SNA) reviews in their region.
– Promote consistent, high-quality service delivery across regions.
– Implementing policies and improvements to service processes in their region.
– Supporting families and children’s needs through effective communication and teamwork.
