Peter Archer

Peter Archer retired from the position of Chief Executive Officer of the Educational Research Centre (ERC) in September 2018 after over nine years in that role. Peter began his career in the ERC in 1972. In 1988, he moved to the Conference of Religious of Ireland where he worked for 12 years as a researcher and policy analyst. He returned to the ERC in late 1999 as a Research Fellow. Over his career he has been involved in many types of research and development in all levels of education. He has a particular interest in issues of social inclusion and the relationship between research and policy.
