Diarmuid Dullaghan

Diarmuid Dullaghan is a Divisional Inspector in the Inspectorate of the Department of Education.  
In primary schools, special schools and centres for education, Diarmuid is responsible  for inspecting the areas of: 
– Evaluation 
– Advice 
– Support 
– Follow-through 

His work also covers special care units and schools attached to child detention centres. In the Department, he has experience in policy and evaluation model development.  
 
Diarmuid is one of a number of inspectors who focus on evaluating educational provision for learners with special educational needs. 

Previously a primary school teacher, Diarmuid has experience as a deputy principal and as part-time lecturer in St Patrick’s College, Drumcondra. He spent much of his teaching career in special education, in a special school for learners with a mild or moderate general learning disability (GLD) and also teaching in a special class for learners with autism.
