How does the NCSE support Teacher Professional Learning?

Our Teacher Professional Learning (TPL) Service supports teachers in the inclusion of all students.

While we support individual teachers, our aim is to empower the whole school. We want to develop collective professional learning to enrich teachers’ practice and students’ learning.

As a teacher, you can take part in our Multi- Tiered System of Support: Pathways to Professional Growth. This offers varieties of learning experiences to enhance your practice.

There are three main pathways:

• Proactive: You can take part in universal approaches such as seminars, webinars, podcasts and/or whole-staff sessions that we design and schedule in advance.

• Supportive: You can take part in more specific approaches or strategies that are solution-focused.

•  Responsive: You can further embed practice by taking part in tailored TPL. This is based on similar needs of teachers from different schools or we can arrange for additional support over time.

I am interested in attending a TPL seminar or webinar.

Our professional learning experiences range from short sessions to multiple days. Some TPL offers follow-on support to embed learning further.

You can choose in-person or online at a time and date that suits you.

Explore the many seminars and webinars in our TPL Calendar or in our annual TPL booklet.
