Diarmuid Dullaghan
Diarmuid Dullaghan is a Divisional Inspector in the Inspectorate of the Department of Education. He has ongoing responsibility for evaluation, advisory, support and follow-through activity in primary schools, special schools and centres for education, including special care units and schools attached to child detention centres, in addition to experience in policy and evaluation model development.
Diarmuid is one of a number of inspectors in the Inspectorate with a specific remit leading the evaluation of educational provision for learners with special educational needs. Previously a primary school teacher, Diarmuid has experience as a deputy principal and as part-time lecturer in St Patrick’s College, Drumcondra. He spent much of his teaching career in special education, in a special school for learners with a mild or moderate GLD, and also teaching in a special class for learners with autism.
