Dharragh Hunt

Dharragh, currently on secondment from the National Disability Authority (NDA), is an Assistant Principal in the Disability Vision and Strategy Unit at the Department of Children, Disability and Equality.
 
Dharragh’s work in the NDA related to health and social care, education and children with disabilities. Dharragh has worked on a number of NDA reviews, including reviews of the Assessment of Need under the Disability Act, 2005 and Overage Exemptions for the Early Childhood Care and Education Scheme. 
 
Dharragh was on the Inter-Departmental Group on Supporting Access to the Early Childhood Care and Education Programme for Children with a Disability which developed what is now known as the Access and Inclusion Model (AIM). He is a member of the AIM Project Implementation Group. 
 
Before working for the NDA, Dharragh worked in policy roles in the Houses of the Oireachtas and in the community sector.  
 
Dharragh has a Bachelor of Arts from TCD, a Master’s Degree from UCD, and a Post-Grad diploma in Social Research Methods from the University of Ulster. He is currently completing a Doctorate in Social Science in UCC.
