Special Educational Needs Organiser(SENO)
SENOs work to ensure that children with special educational needs (SEN) receive appropriate educational supports.
They work directly with:
– Schools
– Parents and guardians
– Other stakeholders
Support Network
Visiting Teachers
Visiting teachers offer guidance, tuition, and professional learning to educators and parents. They are qualified teachers with specialist skills who support:
– Children who are Deaf/ Hard of Hearing
– Children who are Blind/Vision impaired

Advisors
Advisors can support a teacher’s professional learning and ability to include all students.
They specialise in different areas such as:
– Behaviour and wellbeing
– Irish Sign Language
– Autism
– Education and Curriculum
Our advisors can support you as an individual teacher. However, the overall aim is to enrich teacher practice and student learning across the whole school.
SUPPORT NETWORK
Behaviour and Wellbeing Facilitators
NCSE Behaviour and Wellbeing Facilitators support special schools to build the capacity of staff to embed inclusive practices into teaching and school life that support all students. Sustained support is delivered through regular support, guidance and advice to schools; to include in person visits, virtual meetings, professional learning needs analysis and provision of school specific professional learning.
